I love free things. Anyone on eBay likely loves things that are free too. Some of you already know about this, but for those that don't here is a tip to get 250 [tag]free business cards[/tag].
Who needs them?
Do people ever ask you what you sell on [tag]eBay[/tag]? Do people ever ask for your "card" and you don't have one to give them? Do you ever wish you could put your card in one of those fish bowls at a restaurant to win a free lunch, only to walk away with your hands in your pockets disappointed because you don't have a business card?
You need a [tag]business card[/tag] if you are:
- a seller on eBay
- an [tag]Education Specialist[/tag], training others
- going to eBay Live! in Boston
Not to mention the free lunch thing.
No strings attached
One of the things I always think when someone says "Free" is "not". There is always a catch. In the case of this company [tag]VistaPrint[/tag], there is no real catch. They do charge for shipping for the free business cards, $5.25 for slow, $8.95 for standard, etc. But that's not outrageous. I really like this company, and I think the cards I got were great. In fact, when you run out you can actually go back for 250 more free cards.
I like VistaPrint a lot, I order through them first when I need something printed. They always have specials and even when buying the custom cards with my own design they do a great job.
My only negative comment about them is a minor one. They really put on the 'hard sell' which is fine. Once you design your card though, the checkout process can be a little tricky. You'll be offered lots of upgrades, etc. and some are great. The wording in some of these steps can be a little confusing so just watch your step. Even if you make a mistake and order something you didn't want, you will get a confirmation screen at the end of the process with a phone number. This happened to me - I ordered a rubber stamp and wound up getting two - and I called the customer service number and they were very capable and polite. They straightened it right out.

eBay Education Specialists
If you're an Education Specialist, you probably know that referrals are a great source of business. You also want your student to be able to reach you for follow-up help after their eBay class. You may be interested in the business card magnets. That way your name stays on their minds when they walk past the refrigerator. Free [tag]Business Card Magnets[/tag]
eBay Live! 2007 - Get Your Cards Now!
Each year after eBay Live! I come home with a big wad of business cards from people I've met. Some of those cards have turned into cash for me teaching eBay classes, designing a website, consulting for a business, or some other way. I've definitely made money by handing out business cards. Use eBay Live! as a networking opportunity for your business.
Besides getting work, you will have an opportunity to meet people from various eBay departments and third-party service providers. Being able to hand them a business card shows that you're serious, and helps them to remember you if you should ever need to contact them. Especially if you are willing and able to help them with something. So get a card. Be prepared.
And send me a picture when you win that free lunch.
